Preparing for your child's catechism presentation
As you and your child continue to work through We Believe: Catechism for Calvary Kids and Families this summer, it's time to think about scheduling an appointment with one of our pastors or Children's Ministry leaders so that your child may present their catechism work before August 31. Or for your convenience, choose to make your presentation in the Calvary Café any Sunday in August from 12:30–1:00 PM.
Parents will be asked to read the questions from the book while kids will be expected to give the full answer (without notes) for all 16 Articles of Faith. Once the leader has approved their work, the child and family will be invited to a special celebration luncheon on September 8 to recognize their accomplishment. Plus, kids will also receive a Catechism Medal!
Contact a leader to make your appointment:
- Pastor Rodney Navey, Family Ministries
- Pastor Jim Pile, Counseling & Seniors
- Su Trull, Children's Ministry Director
- Sue Ridge, Zone 345 Coordinator
We Believe: Catechism for Calvary Kids & Families is based on our 16 Articles of Faith and provides questions and answers to learn the key biblical truths we believe. This summer project is for families with children currently completing grades 3–5.
- June – Catechism books available! Begin learning the Q&A
- August – Make an appointment to present your catechism work to a pastor or ministry leader by August 31
