Worship Ministry
Our Worship Team is a deeply committed community of vocal and instrumental musicians, plus sound and video technicians who love worshiping God and serving together. Our purpose is to help Calvary worship in an inspiring and meaningful way — plus, we enjoy great fellowship!

Our Calvary choir, orchestra, and band are comprised of Calvary members who serve on Sundays in our worship services. We sing and play a wide variety of musical styles and strive for excellence in all that we do. We prepare each week during "Wednesday Worship," where we rehearse at 6:30–8:00 PM (September through May) and grow together through prayer and community.
We accept new members in January and September. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, a member of Calvary Church, have some skill in either vocal or instrumental music (orchestra or band), have a worshiping heart, and have the desire to serve in a dynamic worship team, we invite you to contact us!

Student Worship Ministry
Choir, Band, One Voice, & Orchestra
Student Worship Choir
Our Student Worship Choir (grades 6–12) sings in worship services and special concerts throughout the year. All middle and high school students are welcome — no audition is needed. Come sing with us!
Students will rehearse on selected Sunday afternoons from 5:00–5:50 PM prior to the evening services in the Choir Room. Because we have a limited schedule, please attend every rehearsal!Register below for the 2023–24 school year.

One Voice
One Voice vocal ensemble (grades 10–12) is an auditioned group that sings as scheduled on Sundays in worship services and special concerts.

Student Worship Band
Student Worship Band and Vocal Team (grades 8–12) lead worship for IGNITE on Wednesday nights, September–May. If you play an instrument or sing, and have the desire to help lead your peers in worship, consider joining our team!Contact: Benjamin Smith, 704.887.3698, bsmith@calvarychurch.com
Student Orchestra
Our Student Orchestra is for students (grades 8–12) who have played an instrument for two or more years. We invite you to use your musical talent to glorify God in worship at Calvary.

Kids Choir
Grades 1–5In Calvary Kids Choir, children in grades 1–5 learn to worship our great God while developing musical skills and knowledge of basic music theory and techniques. We sing in worship services and special concerts throughout the year.
We rehearse during scheduled Sunday evening services at 6:00 PM. We will NOT meet every Sunday. Because we have a limited schedule, please plan to attend every rehearsal.
Sign in at the kiosks to receive a nametag for your child. Children should attend the opening portion of the worship service with their parents. They will be dismissed to the Choir Room from the service. Kids Choir will use the "piano side" stairwell to get to the Choir Room.
Register below for the 2023–24 school year.
If you register after noon on Friday, your child will not be on the roster in the kiosk on Sunday. Please register early in the week, or allow extra time to register in person on Sunday for your child to participate. Thank you! If you have any questions, please contact Christy.

Wee Praisers
Choir for Age 4 – KindergartenPreschool children age four (by 12/10/23) through Kindergarten are invited to join the Wee Praisers choir! We learn to sing and worship God while discovering basic music theory and techniques. We sing in worship services and special concerts throughout the year.
We rehearse during scheduled Sunday evening services at 6:00 PM. We will NOT meet every Sunday. Because we have a limited schedule, please plan to attend every rehearsal.

Organ Concert
Thursday, April 25Thank you for your interest in the Calvary Grand Organ concert series. We invite you to enjoy classics, hymns, and favorite arrangements presented by Calvary organist Elizabeth Hildebrand, along with a brief devotional by Pastor Jim Pile. The concerts are free, and everyone is welcome.
The Thursday morning concerts are at 11:00 AM; dates coordinate with our Senior Adult Luncheon schedule.

Camp Week 2: July 29 – August 2 (FULL)We are SO excited about our Calvary Kids Music Camp this summer!
Music Camp is for kids in 2nd–8th grades for the upcoming 2024–25 school year. Campers will learn and perform an entire Gospel-centered musical in just one week. Activities include singing, acting, choreography, art activities, and more! Then, campers will present a live stage performance of the musical for family and friends on Friday evening!
We’re offering TWO WEEKS of the SAME MUSIC CAMP
Camp Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:30 PM
- Kids must attend each day of camp to prepare to participate in the live performance.
- Drop-off and pick-up will be in the Calvary Life Center. Check-in starts at 8:45 AM.
Live Musical Performance
- Friday, July 19 or August 2 | 7:00 PM, Crown Room (3rd Floor). Campers arrive at 6:30 PM.
- Family and friends are invited to attend the live performance. It’s fun for all ages!

Are you interested in serving at one or both of our camps this summer? We need great volunteers (high school age through adults) to help make music camp a success!

Providing audio & video supportIt takes a great volunteer team of sound, lighting, and video technicians working together to produce our worship services and support the many ministry events throughout the week at Calvary.
We can train you to operate the audio consoles, operate cameras, run the video switcher, use presentation software, and run the lighting console. If you have an interest and aptitude in these areas, please contact us about current opportunities.

The Calvary Choir and Orchestra have recorded two live worship CDs: Worship at Calvary and Unending Songs. Both CDs are available for purchase in the Word Room, and Unending Songs is also available here on iTunes.
