The Greatest Stories Ever Told
with Marc Martens
Room 238 & via Zoom

Our Lord was a master storyteller, often speaking in perfectly-crafted parables. His parables taught, rebuked, and encouraged those to whom they were spoken — and they still teach, rebuke, and encourage His followers today. In this class, we will study several of the parables of Christ, with a particular focus on Christ’s parables about “the kingdom of heaven” or “the kingdom of God.” What was Jesus communicating in the first century? And how can we apply His parables to our lives today? Join us as we investigate these questions and more!

Heaven, Hell, and Things in Between
with Pastor Rob Reece
Banquet Room & via Zoom

Every person ever born is destined for one of two places — heaven or hell. This topic has fascinated as well as terrified people throughout the ages. Yet, many people have conceptions of heaven and hell that are unbiblical. This class will look to Scripture to explore each of these final destinations.

Book of James
with Pastor Jim Pile
Room 402 & via Zoom

James is a book about practical holiness. This epistle is the New Testament version of Proverbs. Using a series of tests, James helps us evaluate the reality of our relationship with Christ to aid us in cultivating our faith — a faith that endures!

Final Wishes and Preparation
With Pastor Nathaniel Pearce
Room 242 & via Zoom

While many of us are thankful for life, few enjoy discussing death. Yet all of us will experience physical death. Do you talk about death with your family? Are you actively involved in preparing your loved ones for your departure from earth? Does your family know anything about your final wishes? This class will help us think practically about our last wishes and how to organize them as an act of love and service to surviving family members.

Rediscovering Jesus
With Miguel Gonzalez
Room 237 & via Zoom

John said, “Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written” (John 21:25). This class will take a fresh look at Scripture to trace the various aspects of the earthly life of Jesus Christ. Join us as we rediscover the splendor and mission of our blessed Savior, which will help us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Christianity in America
With Bob Mayer
Room 231 & via Zoom

Christianity has played a role in America since the first European settlers arrived from Spain, France, England, and the Netherlands. Thousands of people from Europe and Africa had already settled in North America three hundred years ago. Most European settlers brought with them forms of Christian faith that they practiced in their native lands — Lutheran, Reformed, English Baptist, Puritan, Anglican, Roman Catholic, Quaker, and so on. Many European immigrants came seeking religious freedom and the ability to practice their faith as they saw fit. Many enslaved Africans brought to the continent against their will would embrace unique versions of Christianity. This class will examine how Christianity influenced colonial America and the United States.

Journey of Hope
Support Ministry Class: February 15 – May 10
Room 234 & via Zoom

We will compassionately discuss the joys and challenges of life while trusting and applying biblical principles! Cost: $10. The coordinator will contact Zoom participants.
